A workshop that focuses on chant to promote wellness

A dance between sound, body, breath and spirit.

Ruby 9 Yoga comes to The Sound Temple
When we chant we set up a vibration throughout the body.
In this intensive workshop you will move with the sound and vibration of your own voice exploring that connection between your body, breath and mind.

Vedic chant is an important tool of yoga that promotes health in a very powerful and wonderful way.
When we chant we regulate the breath, increasing capacity, strength and confidence not just through our voice but also in all other aspects of ourselves.
To chant we make our sounds on the exhale portion of our breath. This has the effect of lengthening our breath and so increasing our life force and so too our life.
Chanting relieves tightness; the sound vibration stabilises our vocal capacity and improves our communication with ourselves and others. We connect to an inner joy, making space at our heart.

All yoga mats, bolsters and blankets are supplied. Please wear loose layered clothing suitable for partaking in some asana practice and wear easy to remove shoes for entrance into The Sound Temple.

Welcoming Wellness – Full Day Yoga Retreat @ The Sound Temple
Feb 4 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Cost: $150 contribution – includes a light lunch

A YOGA AND HEALING FULL DAY RETREAT

We are exploring yoga therapy and healing techniques as a means to connect with and to heal yourself.

In this retreat we will be looking at bringing wellness to all levels of whom and how we are.

In acknowledging that we are multi layered beings we shift the emphasis of thinking of health as being specific to a certain problem……………. to thinking of wellness in a holistic fashion.

Sometimes it is the simplest things that make the biggest difference. Techniques used in the application of yoga as therapy are not complicated and are available to everyone. Sally will lead you in practices that show you ways in which you can apply yoga to enhance your health and wellbeing on all levels.

Yoga is but one strand that can be applied for healing. The techniques that you will learn from Jacqui are equally straightforward yet their impact can be profound.

Sally is a Level 3 Yoga Teacher and fully qualified Yoga Therapist. She has been teaching since 2000 and practicing as a therapist since 2011. She is fully accredited as a Yoga Therapist with Yoga Australia, IAYT and AAYT.

Jacqui is a Remedial Masseuse and Intuitive healer. She is a fully qualified remedial masseuse who has been in practice since 2003, Rae Alward is her spiritual teacher and she has studied with her for 10 years.

Together they have facilitated retreats and workshops with love and grace.
