Are You Riding on the Crest of a Wave this Full Moon in Pisces?

Full Moon in Pisces – Saturday 14th September 2019

“In springtime, love is carried on the breeze. Watch out for flying passion and kisses whizzing by your head.” — Emma Racine Defleur

Although we are just at the start of Spring, we are over half-way through Djilba – The Season of Conception – in Noongar language, which runs from August until September. This is the time to start looking for the beautiful yellow and cream flowers exploding through the rich, dark earth that have been hibernating for many months. As the days begin to warm up, we start to see the first of the newborns who are out with their proud parents and the woodland birds known as the Koolbardi (Magpie), the Djidi (Willy Wag Tails) and the Chuck-a-luck (Wattle birds) will all be nest bound and nurturing their young.

As the season progresses, we will start to see the proud flower stalks of the Balgas (Grass Trees) rising with the temperatures in preparation for the coming season of Kambarang.

Outside, native flowers are blooming, forcing their way through the weed and dried leaves and turning the earth into a beautiful multi-coloured carpet. Bees are tracking their way from flower to flower and at night, magpies can be heard through bedroom windows, singing tales of warmer days up to the ever-present stars.

Take some time to observe your surroundings as the days get steadily warmer. Take note of the flowers and the bees and relish in the fact that jeans and a t-shirt is all that is required when stepping outside. Goodbye heavy winter coats, hello t-shirts and bare feet!

Along with the delightful spring weather comes the always powerful presence of the Full Moon. This month’s Full Moon falls under the sign of Pisces and is set on September 14th.

Pisces is the twelfth sign of the zodiac, and it is also the final sign in the zodiacal cycle. Hence, this sign brings together many of the characteristics of the eleven signs that have come before it. Pisceans, however, are happiest keeping many of these qualities under wraps. These folks are selfless, spiritual, and very focused on their inner journey.

They also place great weight on what they are feeling. Feelings define the Pisces zodiac sign, and it’s not uncommon for them to feel their own burdens (and joys) as well as those of others. The intuition of the Pisces-born is highly evolved. Many people associate Pisces with dreams and secrets, and it’s a fair association, since those born under this sign feel comfortable in an illusory world.

People born under the sign of Pisces are creative, loving, unselfish and easy-going yet they can be very indecisive and lacking in motivation if they have to do anything for themselves. Pisceans can be known to wander around half blind for a very long time before they go about getting themselves glasses. However, if they have to do something for someone else, they find surprising reserves of strength. They will do anything for you and there is no sacrifice too large for them. This can lead to them being taken advantage of.

Under this Pisces Full Moon, you may find yourself struggling with feelings of insecurity, as the Full Moon in Pisces has the greatest sensitivity and perceptiveness of surroundings. Try not to take hold of these feelings, which can be easier said than done.

Pisceans are creative people and sometimes the best ways to deal with feelings of insecurity is to find ways of expressing them that aren’t so pressing on your mental well-being. Channel these feelings into some artwork or a poem. It can make it easier to work out where they’re coming from. Getting to the root of the problem can have more answers than you may realize. When you start feeling the feelings of doubt pressing down on your rib cage, move quickly and find yourself a playlist with some throwback songs on it and have an emergency dance party. Moving and jumping and singing can be a lot of fun and you’ll find yourself breathing easier when you have to think about something else.

Sometimes, even just feeling these emotions is exactly what we need to do. Take note of the feelings, tell them ‘I see you; I feel you and that’s ok.’ Be passive, don’t be hard on yourself and be patient. Wait and see what happens in your life and trust that all will be well.

Spring is the symbol of new life, new beginnings and warmer days. Take advantage of the lovely weather that is to come and organize some time with those you love. Go for a picnic, have a game of cricket or set up a card game evening. Acknowledge your feeling of doubt and insecurity and do what feels right for you in terms of dealing with them. After all, no one knows what’s best for you better than you do.

At The Sound Temple, we have two Full Moon Sound Healing events this weekend with Charles and Julian and both are fully booked. Step outside on Friday or Saturday and bask in the amazingness of this September Full Moon. Let go of doubt and welcome in pure love.
