Common Threads – Woven through Community

Join India Easton as she unpacks and fleshes out the reality of not only the human and environmental costs of clothing but shares some of the untold story around the true costs of this industry that has started to gain insight on its own impact.

The True Cost is a groundbreaking documentary film that pulls back the curtain on the untold story and asks us to consider, who really pays the price for our clothing?

This night will include an open discussion about the film and India will host a powerful open discussion and the way forward after watching this impactful film.

India Easton has been a long time advocate  of sustainable, upcycled and hand crafted fashion. She’s spent many years perfecting various creative and artistic techniques to produce her own personal style of clothing. For India, 2017 was dedicated to a year long study into the production, processes and destructive impact of fast fashion on our global society. She is one of Perth’s most cutting edge, contemporary protagonists for environmental and social change.
