Common Threads – Woven through Community

Join local environmental and social change advocate, Janette Huston, as she leads this fun and funky workshop. You’ll be inspired to create a unique masterpiece, re-purposing pre-loved resources to make a stunning necklace using cross stitch, yarn and beads. If you

have some favourite beads, or threads, bring them along and learn how to create something fabulous.

Being a passionate advocate for change, Janette’s philosophy is to buy second hand wherever possible. She has a deep passion for sharing her knowledge and creative flair with the world by incorporating three dimensional, textiles, fabrics and mosaics in her creations.

Common Threads – Woven through Community is a month long community engagement project proudly brought to the Perth Hills following on from the world Fashion Revolution week in late April.

This exhibition includes topics of integrating sustainability, creativity, and traditional hand-crafted wisdom of the ages. These events are designed for you to leave feeling deeply inspired to become part of a brand new impulse of considerable change.
