An afternoon of Slow Sewing

Join us for an afternoon of Slow Sewing.

Perfect for beginners, you’ll be gently guided and supported to make some beautiful Friendship Prayer Flags to hang up at home.

Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all-pervading space and we will set an intention into every flag so that YOUR hopes and wishes flow out into the four corners of the world.

We’ll approach the act of creativity in a mindful manner, stitch by stitch and journey into sacred creative space.

What more could you ask for a winter afternoon? Gift yourself a few hours in the creative flow, we’d love you to join us.

This workshop follows on from our Common Threads – Woven Through Community projects and supports our commitment to community engagement around the topic of sustainable fashion and the slow sewing movement.
