Words of Wisdom with Jane Ziemons

Mother and Child Workshop

Join Jane Ziemons on the Sunday before Mother’s Day and spend time with your child stitching a most memorable experience.
A beautiful workshop away from the hustle and bustle to celebrate the Love and Connection shared with the Mother and Child.

In this two hour work shop held in the beautiful bush setting at The Sound Temple, Jane Ziemons our 2020 Artist in Residence will gently guide you and child/ren to discover and stitch ‘Words of Wisdom’ into a cloth book that you will make together.

An unforgettable keepsake gift to mothers that will be treasured for years to come.

A timely gift for all in the lead up to celebrating Mother’s Day.

Words of Wisdom You are invited to bring along any fabric or small items that hold special meaning to incorporate into the book. A range of fabric and threads will be available to select from in creating your family heirloom.

This workshop is ideal to connect with one child and stitch together, however you can purchase additional tickets for extra children if you feel they are capable to engage in the stitching process for the duration of the workshop.

Having spent three decades travelling through a variety of locations including the UK, Africa, North America and Australia, Ziemons has a deeply emotional approach to her work and considers the creation of art to be akin to the making of a new home in a foreign land. Her current research examines the subtle ways in which art of the everyday can bring about moments of mindfulness.
