Janette Huston
Being a passionate advocate for change, Jannette’s philosophy is to buy second hand wherever possible. She has a deep passion for sharing her knowledge and creative flair with the world by incorporating three dimensional, textiles, fabrics and mosaics in her creations. Creating unique art from re-purposed resources is her speciality and she incorporates cross stitch, wool, buttons, beads and threads into much of her work.
Most recently, she has been inspired to focus on upcycled and remodelled jewellery, creating interesting techniques and design with different yarns. She joins The Sound Temple this month to facilitate a workshop to create a stunning mixed media necklace.
We are blessed at The Sound Temple to have Janette Huston join us to host a workshop in Perth Hills as part of our Common Threads Project.
Common Threads – Woven through Community is a month long community engagement project proudly brought to you directly following the World Fashion Revolution week held in late April each year.
This exhibition includes topics of integrating sustainability, creativity, and traditional hand-crafted wisdom of the ages. These events are designed for you to leave feeling deeply inspired to become part of a brand new impulse of considerable change.
