International Women’s Day 2019
This Friday, March 8th, we invite you to stop for a moment and join us as we celebrate the magnificence of International Women’s Day for 2019. Not just any old celebration, but the kind that sings from our bones, throws our hands in the air, dances us bare foot, singing in gypsy-skirted joy on the red earth kind of celebration!
You’ll hear us singing our praises from the tops of the tall gum trees, as we honour the Divine Feminine in our lives. We’ll be joining with people from all over the world, uniting together to acknowledge and celebrate the remarkable social, cultural and political achievements of women globally.
In 2019, the theme for International Women’s Day is centred around balance, equality and human rights. It asks us what actions we’ll take to strive for a more equitable and fair gender balance in our world, now and in the future #BalanceforBetter.
This year around the world, there are many exciting initiatives arising in support of International Women’s Day. One particularly exciting expression of the feminine has caught the eye of The Sound Temple team and we’re delighted to invite you to join us in support of it. On March 8th, in over 85 countries, women around the world will be gathering in Sister Circles to take part in a synchronised global meditation to bring forth the next level of feminine freedom in our world. Women of diverse cultures and backgrounds will gather together locally, the world over, to empower each other, holding the following questions in our thoughts:
How can we find ways to reward and honour the feminine? How can we support and cherish our differences, embrace our feminine power and come together as the force to heal the world?
Whether or not you choose to create a local sisterhood circle or join the live, global broadcast online at Free The Feminine we invite you to hold this day as something deeply sacred. It is only through our shared diversity that we can find the unity we need to transform the wounds of our world into something extraordinary. How can we birth a healthy, radiant future?
