Artist, Sacred Circle and Meditation Facilitator

Leah Rakabundel

We warmly welcome Leah to our team of facilitators at The Sound Temple.

Leah brings a beautiful blend of creativity, compassion and lived experience through her work as an artist, community arts facilitator, mother and space holder. Her deep understanding of the healing power of creativity, combined with her gentle and nurturing presence, creates opportunities for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and experience the joy of creating from the heart. We are delighted to share Leah's work, creativity and wisdom with our community in the Perth Hills.

Leah is the founder of Heart Seed Dreams, a creative offering inspired by the belief that art has the power to heal, connect and transform both individuals and communities. With a vision to inspire people to create from love, Leah encourages others to plant seeds of intention through creativity, mindfulness and meaningful connection.

For more than a decade, Leah worked throughout Northern Australia in youth and community development, community arts and creative engagement. During this time she coordinated large-scale mural projects, public art initiatives, workshops, exhibitions and community events in Broome. She also facilitated a highly regarded art program within a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre, where she witnessed firsthand the profound impact that creative expression can have on healing, recovery and personal growth.

Since becoming a mother, Leah's creative focus has evolved towards fibre art, coiling, sacred creativity and
mindful making. Her workshops are thoughtfully designed as nourishing self-care experiences that combine creativity, meditation, connection and wholesome food. Through these gatherings, participants are invited to pause, be present and reconnect with their inner wisdom through the simple yet powerful act of creating.

Alongside her artistic work, Leah has a deep interest in the healing arts and has trained in Reiki I & II and Indian Head Massage. Her approach reflects a holistic understanding of wellbeing, honouring the interconnected relationship between creativity, healing, nature and personal transformation.

Leah's life journey has been rich with adventure, service and personal growth. From travelling around Australia in a Kombi van after university to meeting her husband while travelling in
Indonesia, her experiences have shaped the compassionate and grounded way she holds space for others. Through years of caring for an elderly family member
and navigating her own healing journey, Leah has developed a heartfelt appreciation for the importance of slowing down, connecting deeply and nurturing ourselves through all stages of life.

We are very honoured here at The Sound Temple to have Leah as part of our facilitator team. Her warmth, creativity and genuine care for others are a beautiful complement to our vision
of creating meaningful experiences that support wellbeing, connection and
personal growth.
