Rhythm of Life Drumming Circle

Rhythm of Life Drumming Circle

Are you looking to connect with community in a way that's dynamic and energetically freeing? Let us introduce you to the ancient beat of drumming and the healing benefits of a drum circle.

If you haven't heard the phrase before, a drum circle is quite simply a gathering of people coming together to create rhythm and music with percussion instruments. These events are not only a fun way to engage with others but a way to release stress, increase well being and build self esteem.

Through the grounding heartbeat of the drum, gentle movement, reflective conversation and playful rhythm activities, participants are guided on a journey of self expression, connection and personal wellbeing.

We can release the excess energy which accumulates in cells, tissues and the biofield through the rhythmic grounding vibration of communal drumming. Being in a space of joy, play and creative expression can be a powerful tool for healing as well as a reminder that there are many ways which tribe can come together. Drumming and sound connects us to nature and spirit in a way which is encoded deep in our mitochondrial memory. Group drumming connects the individual to the collective consciousness and group dreaming.

Before language, there is a living pulse (heartbeat) which welcomes us into the physical world. As we awaken to our spirit and connect to the heartbeat of Gaia, we integrate the the fractality of the microcosm and macrocosm. The drums vibratory nature sends pulse waves and echoes which travel through the body and soul. Facilitation the communion and connection to the dimensions outside the visible light spectrum.

With all this in mind we welcome our new facilitator Jacey Brown to The Sound Temple. Jacey is a passionate community drumming facilitator who creates welcoming and inclusive spaces for people to connect through rhythm, creative and share experience. She will be hosting both community drum circles and workshops at The Sound Temple.

No musical experience is required. These beginner-friendly experiences are designed to create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can participate, contribute and feel a sense of belonging.
