Soulful Stitch Workshop

An Afternoon of Circle, Connection and Creativity

Step away from the everyday and join Leah for a soulful afternoon of creativity, connection and calm, held in the peaceful beauty of the Perth Hills bushland.

We will relax and re-set with a short, guided meditation and 'energy shifter' brain shot juice before learning creative skills to make coiled basketry forms.

Choose to weave whichever kind of form or vessel that calls to you and connect with other wonderful women over shared nibbles and herbal tea.

“In the circle of women, every thread carries a story and every creation holds a little piece of the soul.” — Unknown

Creative forms may include baskets, earrings, pendants, vases and mats – depending on the focus of each workshop.

We will enjoy a second brain shot juice toward the end of the workshop to leave you feel nourished, refreshed and inspired.

Leah will gently guide you through the process with all materials and instructions provided.

No previous experience is necessary and all levels are welcome.

You will receive your own take home tapestry needle, extra materials for finishing off, and printed instructions.

If the weather permits there is an option to take a moment to ground amongst the trees on the nature trail too.

Leah has recently moved down to Perth from Broome where she was an active part of the arts community,  She is a mother, artist and space holder who is passionate about the healing power of creativity for individuals and communities.

Her vision is to inspire people to create from love, planting seeds of intention from the heart. Leah's spent over a decade in the north of Australia working in youth and community development and community arts.  In that time Leah coordinated large mural projects, art workshops, events, exhibitions and public art projects in Broome. She also ran a very popular art program at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre. Since becoming a Mother, Leah's focus areas have gravitated toward fibre art and murals. Leah's fibre coiling workshops aim to cultivate a self-care experience with the inclusion of meditations and connection alongside nourishing foods and juices. Leah is also intrigued by healing arts and is trained in Reki I & II and Indian Head Massage.

We are delighted to introduce you all to Leah and welcome her to The Sound Temple team of Facilitators and look forward to sharing some of these unique and enriching community engagement sessions with you all.
