We warmly welcome Mike as an exhibiting Guest Artist at The Sound Temple as part of the Mundaring Hills Open Studio – Art in the Hills.

Our association as friends and as a local artist who is part of our long standing community it was only natural for this collaboration to come together and we are delighted to be curating this exhibition with Mike around our stunning grounds here at The Sound Temple.  Some exhibits will be located in the Gallery Rooms and there is an opportunity to walk the grounds to view further pieces around the Open Gardens.

Mike continues his interest in ceramic sculptural forms from archaeology. This includes the Mesopotamian and South American regions and Celtic and Byzantium imagery.

​More recently he is concentrating on raku bodies and glazes fired in a wood kiln.  These clay bodies are of local clays found in The Perth Hills from Sawyers Valley through to Swan View.

Mike’s work is unique, innovative and exploratory.

We are very honoured here at The Sound Temple to have Mike as one of our invited exhibiting artists here in the Perth Hills as part of this ever expanding art trail.
