Yoga of Sound, Vibrations and Energy Centres

Do you want to connect with yourself? Hear your inner Sound?
Join us inside The Sound Temple for 90mins to experience Nada Yoga with Yogi Dev Singh who shares this practice in its traditional form.

These sessions are limited to small groups so that you receive the best vibrational and learning experience. If you are interested in any form of yoga and are wanting to feel into this branch of sound yoga, then please come along to enjoy.

This is suitable for absolute beginners who have never even heard about Nada Yoga and will suit those who are familiar with the practice. Yogi Dev will share the benefits of Yoga of sound and vibrations and how they relate to the energy centres.

If you would like to gain more knowledge after attending some of these sessions then you can join in the training course that spans the entire chakra system. Yogi Dev will also form a monthly master class for those wanting to keep meeting on a regular basis to raise awareness about the path of the Nada Yogi.

More about Nada Yoga:
Nada Yoga is conscious process of tracing the sound back to its psychic and more subtle manifestation to the source. This experiential session Yogi Dev will guide you through the Nada Yogi journey, which starts, from listening to gross sounds, and then listening to subtle sounds and finally listening to your inner Sound (nada).

When Music becomes the source of Inner-attainment, rather than Entertainment.
Sound is at the core of human awareness. As we are born and when we die, hearing is the first of the senses to appear and the last to disappear. Each sound has a direct effect on our emotions and thoughts. Nada yoga explores these boundaries and relationships between sounds and our state of consciousness to create harmonious communication between mind and heart, healing and balancing themselves on many levels.

Nada yoga embraces the ancient Indian musical system of Ragas. ‘Raga’ means ‘mood’, and each raga evokes its characteristic emotional state by employing a particular combination of notes with rules of tone and emphasis. The Ragas has deep influences on the Chakras (energy centres), it helps energise and nourish chakras, maintain its balance, and enables to clean the energy blockages.

Nada yoga is a continual process of going inward and outward through listening and expressing: it is the sound that provides the map, the points of reference, by which we recognise our own experience and that of others.

More about Yogi Dev:

Dev Singh was born in Chandigarh, northern India. His early childhood was strongly influenced by various classical Indian music gurus and at the age of twelve, he started his musicology studies. He has followed the ancient tradition of Guru-Shishya system (an intimate master-student relationship), in which the Guru passes knowledge through the spiritual, intellectual and emotional bond between them.

We are blessed to have Yogi Dev join us at The Sound Temple to share his gifts of Nada Yoga as part of our team who currently host Vedic Chant, Kirtan, Yoga Nidra, Nada Yoga, Indulgence Retreats, Satsang and special events.
