Brenda StovellBrenda Stovell

Brenda is an artist who enjoys working in different mediums from oil paint, pastel to watercolour and often includes her own eco dyed paper for her pastel works.

Her art describes the variety of the glorious colours and textures found in the Australian landscape and has a soft spot for magpies and red tail cockatoos.

Brenda describes her artwork as abstract realism, manipulating mediums from transparent to translucent to opaque, to tease the eye of the viewer and create a work of art that is interesting, beautiful and joyful.

Brendas art will be predominantly located in The Mandala Room Gallery on the Grounds of The Sound Temple.

Mike MooreMike Moore

Mike Moore’s interest in ceramic and sculptural forms from the Mesopotamia and South American regions and his passion for Celtic and Byzantium imagery are depicted in his sculptures.

He experiments with the ancient techniques of Egyptian paste and modern paper clay. Mike develops his own clay bodies that are locally sourced in Sawyers Valley, Western Australia, where he lives. He also fires all his own work that include new innovative techniques in Raku and open pit firings.

Mike’s work is unique, innovative and exploratory. He will be taking advantage of the magnificent Grounds at The Sound Temple to display his sculptures in various and interesting ways amongst the landscape.
